Converter is only convenient way to hook up trailer wiring to Ford Rangers and Mazda pickup's that have a separate circuit for the turn signals. The amperage ratings for the circuits supply adequate amperage for most trailer lighting and according to the documentation there is a circuit breaker for any overload situations built into the converter. Instillation couldn't be any simpler on the Ranger. This is a replacement for another brand converter that burnt out because the circuits didn’t have the capacity for the amperage draw on my new trailer.

The wiring harness has held up well. Works great. No issues.
Very simple procedure to install on my 1997 Ford Ranger P/U. Unplug the connector to the tail lights, plug in the two plugs on the adapter and secure the wiring and converter. Took me longer to get my creeper and get under the back of the truck than it did to install the harness! Great shipping time as well.

The harness has been working flawlessly and had extra wire incase I need to extend it or something of that nature. I have a 1996 ford ranger and it works great to tow my aluminum boat and trailer.
